Scholarship Sponsorship

February 1, 2016

Dear Friends:

The Cape Verdean Recognition Committee would like to extend sincere gratitude for your continued support over the years. This year we are celebrating our 12th year of service to our community, and we could not have accomplished this without your support. Our scholarship committee works diligently and takes great pride in assisting graduating seniors in New Bedford and surrounding areas to attend a regionally accredited college or university. In the last eleven years, through hard work and determination, the committee has awarded $252,000 to 268 recipients. We realize that the economy has affected many this year, but with your generous support, we hope to raise $40,000 and continue our work to assist our promising graduates.

Commencing June 26, 2016 we will be celebrating Cape Verdean Recognition Week, culminating with the parade on July 2, 2016. We will be awarding scholarships to our recipients on June 17, 2016, and would like to solicit your support by placing an ad in our program book. The ad selections are listed below, and we have enclosed a form that you may use to print a message. If you wish to use a photograph, it must be in black and white.
